Wednesday’s Southeastern Pa. roundup: Alex Mullen’s walk-off homer lifts Interboro softball over Marple Newtown

Alex Mullen belted a walk-off two-run home run in the eighth inning Wednesday as the Interboro softball team topped Marple Newtown, 6-5. Billie Kerwood doubled and had three RBIs for the Buccaneers.

Devyn Dydak got the win on the mound and hit a walk-off sacrifice fly in the eighth inning as Nazareth Academy edged Villa Joseph Marie, 13-12. Megan Dignam smacked a double, a triple, and drove in five runs for the Pandas. Natalie Minitti and Abby Lynch each had three RBIs.

Kayla Bock belted the go-ahead three-run home run in the visiting seventh to lift Coatesville over Unionville, 8-5. Phoebe Clemens added a double and two RBIs for the Red Raiders.

Casey Walker went 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI as Owen J. Roberts defeated Upper Perkiomen, 8-3. Madison and Morgan Twaddell each had two RBIs for the Wildcats.

Olivia Terry homered and had two RBIs as Methacton cruised past Pottsgrove, 15-0. Taylor Angelillis doubled and drove in four runs for the Warriors.

Jordalyse Santiago launched a grand slam and struck out nine to earn the win as Kensington knocked off Swenson, 9-3.

Madison Duffy, Molly Bevenour, Terinne Furniss, and Kirsteen Barth each homered for Central in a 16-4 victory over Lincoln.

Lenny Gipson went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs as Father Judge downed St. Joseph’s Prep, 3-1. Justin Barcoski pitched 3 1/3 innings in relief of hitless ball for the win.

Joe Messina scattered five hits and struck out seven to lead Neumann-Goretti past Bonner-Prendergast, 1-0.

Connor Brala smacked a double and had an RBI as Haverford School rolled past Upper Darby, 10-0. Sam Chase struck out five in as many innings and allowed two hits for the Fords.

Bennett Lichstein struck out seven in six innings and helped himself to two hits and an RBI in George School’s 5-3 triumph over Morrisville. Joey Kumar drew three walks and stole four bases for the Cougars.

Carlos Torres tossed a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts as Perkiomen School blanked Hill School, 4-0. Torres’ no-hit bid was broken up with two outs in the seventh. Zach Smith ripped an RBI for the Panthers.

Christian Martinez doubled and got the win on the mound in Ben Franklin’s 15-5 decision over Bodine.

Mohamed Diawara doubled and tripled as Boys’ Latin took down Prep Charter, 18-8. Malachi Pippin laced a triple for the Warriors.

Lindsey Fagan scored a game-high seven goals as Bonner-Prendergast upended St. Hubert, 14-10.
