Bonner-Prendergast boys knock off No. 1 Roman Catholic

Donovan Rodriguez led Bonner-Prendergast with 21 points, and Lynn Greer III had 37 for Roman.

The Roman Catholic boys’ basketball team went into Tuesday’s game against nonranked Bonner-Prendergast as the No. 1 team in The Inquirer’s Top 10 for Southeastern Pennsylvania.

The Cahillites ended the game as an 81-72 overtime loser as the Friars built a 34-23 lead at halftime and turned a 65-65 tie at the end of regulation into their 10th win in 11 games.

Roman fell to 6-4.
