Across Columbus Boulevard from the looming façade of Dave and Buster's, half a dozen archaeologists sweltered around a hole in the ground Tuesday afternoon and looked with enthusiasm at a lot of brown and black dirt and rock, as archaeologists often do. A hole and rubble inspired hope.
