Fatal crash after car crosses center line
PEMBERTON TWP. A Pemberton man died Friday night after his compact car collided with another car that had crossed the yellow center line on North Pemberton Road in Pemberton Township, authorities said.
Both cars were found by Pemberton police while patrolling the area about 8:30 p.m. A 2008 Toyota Prius driven by the victim, John Anderson, was overturned off the eastbound shoulder of the road.
A 2005 Mercury Sable driven by Amanda Gusrang of Medford was near Anderson's car, also off the eastbound shoulder, police said. Gusrang, who was walking around the scene, suffered injuries and was treated at Lourdes Emergency Department at Deborah Heart and Lung Center.
Her car was traveling west on North Pemberton Road at the time of the collision, police said. Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. Police were investigating the accident and had not issued any summons.
