Car hits Darby house, strikes gas line

DARBY BOROUGH A car crashed into a house Saturday afternoon, striking a gas line, Delaware County dispatchers said.

The car hit the house on the 400 block of Darby Terrace about 4 p.m., dispatchers said. Because the gas line was hit, police evacuated the block, dispatchers said, but the area was cleared by Saturday evening.

No injuries were reported, dispatchers said.
