PHILADELPHIA A Philadelphia jury is to resume deliberations Wednesday in the theft-of-services trial of a former Philadelphia police lieutenant and a veteran officer.
The Common Pleas Court jury of seven women and five men deliberated for about four hours Tuesday in the trial of ex-Lt. Aisha Perry, 54, and former Officer George Suarez, 55.
The defense and prosecution rested their cases Monday after four days of testimony. The two officers were charged, and subsequently dismissed, in 2012 after a yearlong investigation of the pair for disconnecting or bypassing meters monitoring the use of gas, electric and water at four properties, including Perry's Northeast home.
