Cherry Hill man charged with attempted homicide

CHERRY HILL A man was arrested Tuesday after police said he repeatedly choked a woman during a domestic dispute. Stephen James Clark, 45, of Cherry Hill, was charged with criminal attempted homicide and terroristic threats. Staff at Kennedy University Hospital, where a neighbor had transported the 41-year-old victim, notified police of her injuries at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Stephen James Clark, 45, of Cherry Hill, was charged with criminal attempted homicide and terroristic threats. Staff at Kennedy University Hospital, where a neighbor had transported the 41-year-old victim, notified police of her injuries at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said that the attacker's grip left the victim unconscious and that she was assaulted while she was blacked out. She suffered a concussion and other injuries but had been released from the hospital by Wednesday afternoon.

Bail was set at $750,000. Clark was taken to Camden County Jail. - Michael Boren
