Event to highlight child care resources

DEPTFORD TWP. An event next weekend will look to connect families with child care programs and services.

Gloucester County's Commission for Women will, alongside several other organizations, host the Child Care Fair at the Deptford Mall April 26. The four-hour fair, starting at 10 a.m., will be held during the "Week of the Young Child," which is organized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

County officials say the fair will include information on social services, camps and children's education and development. Instructions on better vetting child care facilities will be available, organizers said, as will entertainment, including a dance performance and a karate demonstration.
