VOORHEES - The Literacy Volunteers of Camden County will hold a series of training workshops in January for people who want to join the tutoring program.

No experience is necessary to join the more than 160 volunteers who work with adults, one on one and in small groups, on literacy and math skills. For many of the 200 students in the program, English is a second language. Volunteers must be at least 18.

The training workshops will be held on five consecutive Wednesdays at the Camden County Library in Voorhees beginning Jan. 8. They run from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

For more information or to sign up, call 856-772-1636, Ext. 7331, or go to lva.camdencountylibrary.org.
