1 killed, 2 injured in Delco crash

CHADDS FORD A 73-year-old man died and two other were injured in a car accident Thursday afternoon in Delaware County, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Phillip D. Shultz of Benton, Pa., was driving a black Chevrolet Impala about 4:15 p.m. when the vehicle was struck on the driver's side by a white Jeep Wrangler on South Creek Road at Baltimore Pike in Chadds Ford Township.

Shultz was taken to Riddle Memorial Hospital, where he later died. His passenger, Susan M. Shultz, also of Benton, suffered a serious injury. The Jeep's driver, who was not named, suffered moderate injuries. - Robert Moran
