Chester City police arrested three teenagers Saturday evening in connection with a home invasion last week in which two people in their 80s were tied up and robbed.
Shanae Bolds, 19, and two boys ages 15 and 16, all from Chester, were charged with robbery, burglary, criminal trespass, assault, and weapons violations in the April 16 incident on Modesto Circle, which occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. Police said the three knocked on the couple's door and used a ruse to get inside. The assailants then tied up the couple, duct-taped their mouths, and stole their two vehicles, $200 in cash, and a cellphone, police said.
The couple, whose names were not disclosed, were shaken by the incident but were not injured, police said. The three were being held at the Delaware County Prison pending a hearing. - Jan Hefler
