Two men were in critical condition after being shot in separate incidents Monday afternoon in the city, police said.
About 4:20 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in the back in the rear driveway behind the 6500 block of North 21st Street in West Oak Lane, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. Police took him to Einstein Medical Center.
Responding police arrested a 24-year-old man carrying a gun near the crime scene, Small said. The victim and witnessed identified the man as the shooter.
Later Monday, Einstein reported to police that a 29-year-old shooting victim had arrived at the hospital driving a Honda minivan, Small said. The man was shot in the neck and grazed in the arm and was listed in critical condition at Einstein. He told police he was shot at A and Wellens Streets in Olney. - Robert Moran
