Driver, passengers rescued from roof of flooded bus

Shortly after 10 p.m., firefighters on rafts rescued a SEPTA bus driver and two passengers from the roof of a flooded Route 61 bus in the 5000 block of East Flat Rock Road in the city's Manayunk section, said Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.

Firefighters were preparing to check submerged vehicles in the area for people who may have gotten caught by the rushing water.

Small said he expected more water rescues along the Schuylkill through the night.
