Crash kills woman, injures girl
WEST PHILADELPHIA A 53-year-old woman was killed and her 9-year-old granddaughter injured in a multiple-car crash in West Philadelphia on Saturday night.

The woman was driving a silver Nissan Altima when she ran a red light at 58th and Chestnut Streets and her car was hit by a Camaro heading east at 6:30 p.m., police said. The Camaro spun and hit a Buick on Chestnut before striking a parked car, police said.
The 9-year-old was in the backseat of the Altima. She was wearing a seat belt and was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where she was listed in stable condition. The Camaro driver, 27, was admitted to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with a cut on his head. Police did not release names.
