Body of woman found in trash can in Frankford
The body was wrapped in plastic and stuffed in a garbage bag in a trash can.
Philadelphia police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was wrapped in plastic and stuffed into a garbage bag inside a trash can in Frankford.
The cause of death and how long the woman had been dead were not immediately clear.
Police said a worker for Republic Services trash removal found the body about 6:05 a.m. Wednesday on the 4600 block of Leiper Street.
A police Crime Scene Unit and the Medical Examiner’s Office were investigating. No other details were immediately available.
