$55,000 in jewelry snatched in Northeast Philly mall theft
The culprits struck Cheemi's Boutique at the Philadelphia Mills mall about 4:20 p.m.
Thieves snatched $55,000 in jewelry Tuesday afternoon from a store at the Philadelphia Mills mall in Northeast Philadelphia, police said.
The theft occurred about 4:20 p.m. at Cheemi’s Boutique at the mall, formerly named Franklin Mills. While a man distracted an employee, a woman and another man went into a partially open jewelry case and took the merchandise. All three were last seen walking away toward the Forever 21 store. No injuries were reported.
