Coatesville officer hospitalized in stable conditon after stabbing

A Coatesville police officer was hospitalized in stable condition after being stabbed Friday afternoon, the Chester County District Attorney’s Office said.
A Coatesville Police Department spokesperson confirmed that the officer had been stabbed at a store on the 100 block of West Kings Highway.
The officer, whose name was not released, was taken to Reading Hospital, the District Attorney’s Office said.
No other details were immediately available.
