Body of gunshot victim found in Eastwick

Passerby found the victim in a grassey area just before 2 p.m.

The body of a 25-year-old man who was shot in the face was found Tuesday afternoon in the Eastwick section of Southwest Philadelphia, police said.

Shortly before 2 p.m., a pedestrian in the 7400 block of Redwing Place found the body in a grassy area. Medics pronounced the man, whose name was not released, dead at the scene. No gun was found near the body, police said.
