Woman killed in hit-and-run in Philadelphia

Police said the driver of the 2006 white Infiniti also hit several parked vehicles before fleeing on foot.

A 36-year-old woman was struck and killed while walking in West Philadelphia early Sunday morning.

Police said a 2006 white Infiniti that hit her also struck several parked vehicles before the driver fled on foot.

According to police, officers responding to a call at 6:44 a.m. found the woman on the 4900 block of Aspen Street. She was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 7:08 a.m., police said.

The Infiniti had been eastbound on Aspen Street when it struck her and several parked cars, police said. The driver was last seen northbound on 49th Street, his car left behind.

Police did not release the name of the victim.
