Man found dead in Rhawnhurst fire

An unidentified man was found dead in a house fire Monday afternoon in the city’s Rhawnhurst section, police said.
The blaze was reported shortly before 4 p.m. in the 7500 block of Alma Street, the Philadelphia Fire Department reported. It was declared under control at 4:12 p.m.
Police said the man, described as in his mid-20s, was found unresponsive in the front bedroom. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
