Lady B’s Basement Party. Here’s an old school hip-hop multi-act bill worth celebrating. Legendary Philadelphia deejay (and rapper: she released her first single, “To The Beat, Y’all” in 1979) hosts a group of veteran luminaries including KRS-One, weed happy duo Method Man & Redman, “Wild Wild West” rapper Kool Moe Dee, former Dr. Dre protégé Yo-Yo and Queens foursome Onyx. Rapper Rob Base is also on the bill, but without DJ E-Z Rock, so we’ll see if it takes two to make a thing go right, or if you can get by with only one. Sunday at the Dell Music Center.

Jonas Brothers. All grown up and newly married, Jonas Bros Kevin Joe and Nick returned this spring with the hopefully titled Happiness Begins, a solid pop platter that’s the scream-inducing trio’s first album together in a decade. Their opener is Bebe Rexha, the Brooklyn born pop singer who had a massive hit in 2018 with “Meant to Be” with country-pop duo Florida Georgia Line that was a pre-”Old Town Road” conversation starter about who defines what country music is. Sunday at Wells Fargo Center.

Beast Coast. This New York hip-hip group Beast Coast are a collective made up of three other groups, Pro Era, the Flatbush Zombies and the Underachievers. Pro Era’s Joey Bada$$, who claims to have cowritten Post-Malone’s megahit “Rockstar” is the biggest marquee name of the bunch on their way to North Philly. Escape From New York, the band’s 2019 album, aims to avoid Wu Tang Clan comparisons, but with so many rappers taking turns on the mic, they’re inevitable. Tuesday at the Met Philadelphia.

Ben Dickey. The singer-songwriter who was formerly a leader of Philly band Bloodfeathers (and also a chef at Johnny Brenda’s) has gone on to wider fame as the star of Blaze, Ethan Hawke’s entrancing biopic about the Texas songster Blaze Foley. Dickey distinguished himself with his solo album Glimmer on the Outskirts, and opening for Hayes Carll earlier this year. Now he’s back in town as a headliner. Thursday at the Boot & Saddle.
