Man killed in West Philly shooting

The unidentified victim was shot in the area of 55th and Summer Streets.

An unidentified man was fatally wounded in a shooting Tuesday night in West Philadelphia, police said.

The victim, described as about 30 years old, was shot several times in the head, back, and shoulder shortly after 8 p.m. in the area of 55th and Summer Streets. He was transported by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and pronounced dead at 8:37 p.m.

Police reported no arrests.
