Man, 44, fatally shot in North Philly

A 44-year-old man was fatally wounded in a shooting Friday evening in North Philadelphia, police said.
Just before 6:10 p.m., the man was shot five times, including in the head, in the 2700 block of North Garnet Street in Swampoodle, police said. Police took him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:28 p.m. Police reported no arrests.
