ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) — The Miss America Organization has reinstated New Jersey's state pageant group.

The parent group says the Miss New Jersey Education Foundation has had its license reinstated, and a new executive director, David Holtzman, has been chosen.

The New Jersey group will seek new board members from across the state.

It also will seek new corporate and organizational partners.

New Jersey was one of several states that had their licenses revoked or not renewed in recent months.

Numerous state organizations have opposed national pageant leadership over the way the Miss America Organization is being run.
