Woman, 50, injured in North Philly house collapse
The woman was on the third floor when the collapse occurred.
A 50-year-old woman was injured in a house collapse Friday afternoon in North Philadelphia, authorities said.
Just after 2:20 p.m., emergency responders were called to the 3100 block of North Stillman Street for a reported house collapse with people trapped inside. They rescued the woman from the rubble and medics took her to Temple University Hospital.
The Fire Department said the woman was on the upper level of the rowhouse when it came down. Two other people who were inside were able to get out on their own.
The woman’s condition was not immediately available. City building inspectors and the Fire Marshal’s Office were investigating the scene and the Red Cross was notified.
