1 dead in West Philly shooting

A 31-year-old man was killed in a shooting Tuesday evening in West Philadelphia, police said.
About 7:15 p.m., the man was shot in the chest while outside in the 4900 block of Thompson Street. He was rushed by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 7:51. No arrests were reported, and no other details were released.
