Main Line police seek Christmas tree vandals
Three times in three days, vandals targeted the Wayne Christmas tree, first unplugging the lights, then splicing the wires for the lights, and finally cutting the wires completely, Radnor police said.
'Twas the weekend before Christmas when the mischief began.
Someone, or a group of people, vandalized the Christmas tree in Wayne three times in three days, Radnor Township police said Wednesday.
They struck first last Friday, when the lights were found unplugged. The next day, the tree’s wires were found spliced and had to be repaired. Finally, on Sunday, the wires were found cut completely, police said.
The large tree, which is decorated and ceremoniously lit each year, is located near the train station. Police are asking anyone with information to call 911.
