A Maryland man has been accused of stabbing a woman and child to death and injuring others Monday inside a York County home, Pennsylvania State Police said.
State police charged Keith Kretzer, 31, of Edgewood, Maryland, with two counts of criminal homicide and two counts of attempted homicide, according to Trooper Kevin Kochka.
Kochka said Kretzer killed 34-year-old Christine Fousek and a 5-year-old — who state police only identified as “R.A.R.” — around 7:19 p.m. inside a home on the first block of Firebox Court in Hopewell Township.
Fousek and the 5-year-old, both of Stewartstown, were already dead when representatives from the York County Coroner’s Office arrived, Coroner Pamela Gay said.
A 63-year-old woman and 28-year-old man, also both of Stewartstown, were found injured inside the home when Southern Regional police and state police arrived. They were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, state police said.
The York County Coroner’s Office will be releasing more information on causes and manners of death once autopsies have been completed, state police said.
State police said there is no threat to the public stemming from this incident.
Online court records for Kretzer were not immediately available.
