2 teens shot outside rec center in Germantown
The shooting happened shortly before 8 p.m. outside the Happy Hollow Recreation Center.
A teen girl and boy were hospitalized in stable condition Tuesday night after both were shot while outside a recreation center in the city’s Germantown section, police said.
Shortly before 8 p.m., police responded to reports of gunfire in the area of the Happy Hollow Recreation Center and found the wounded teens along a trail leading away from the center behind a house on the 4900 block of Pulaski Avenue.
The girl, described as 15 years old, was shot in the back of the neck. The boy, described as 17, was shot in the arm. Both were taken by police to Temple University Hospital.
Witnesses told police that two shooters in ski masks ran from the scene.
No other details were immediately available.
