A 29-year-old man was killed in a double shooting Thursday night in the city’s Harrowgate section, police said.
Just after 7:30 p.m., two men were shot while outside on the 3500 block of Emerald Street. The 29-year-old man was shot several times in the head and chest. He was taken by police to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:46.
A 31-year-old man who was shot once in the torso also was taken by police to Temple. He was listed in stable condition.
Police said the man who died was carrying a weapon and they took it into evidence. Otherwise, no other details were reported.
