Boy, 15, fatally wounded in Kingsessing shooting
The shooting happened at the intersection of 52nd and Pentridge Streets.
Police said a 15-year-old boy, later identified as Antonio Walker of Southwest Philadelphia, was fatally wounded in a shooting Tuesday night in the Kingsessing section of Southwest Philadelphia.
Shortly before 7 p.m., the teen was at the intersection of 52nd and Pentridge Street when a vehicle pulled up and at least two males got out, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.
One or both males opened fire and Walker was struck in the chest and left arm. He ran about a quarter block west on Pentridge and collapsed on the sidewalk. At that point, the shooters got back in the car and fled.
Police rushed the teen to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 7:36.
Police found four spent shell casings at the intersection of 52nd and Pentridge.
