Two men were fatally wounded in separate shootings Tuesday evening in Philadelphia, police said.
One victim, whose name or age were not released, was shot in the neck around 5:40 p.m. while outside on the 5200 block of Burton Street in Frankford. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
A possible suspect was seen running into a house and a barricade was declared. Two males exited that property or a neighboring property and were taken into custody.
The properties were cleared and the barricade declaration was lifted. No one else was apprehended.
Just before 6 p.m., a 35-year-old man, whose name was not released, was outside on the 5900 block of Windsor Street in Southwest Philadelphia when he was shot in the head. He was taken by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and pronounced dead at 6:13.
Police reported no arrests in that case.
