Man killed in Strawberry Mansion shooting

The victim was at a Sunoco gas station when he was shot six times.

A 38-year-old man was fatally wounded in a shooting Friday afternoon in the city’s Strawberry Mansion section, police said.

About 1:50 p.m., the man was at a Sunoco gas station at 33rd and York Streets when he was shot six times. Police took him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:20.

His name was not released, and police reported no arrests and no other details.
