Man killed in Nicetown triple shooting among two fatalities
Earlier, another man was fatally shot in the 2000 block of Scattergood Street.
A 36-year-old man was killed in a triple shooting Thursday night in the city’s Nicetown section, police said.
An unidentified man also was fatally wounded earlier in a shooting in Summerdale.
Just before 8:15 p.m. in the 1600 block of Bristol Street, the 36-year-old was shot in the back. He was taken by private vehicle to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead at 8:22.
Another 36-year-old man was shot in the back and chest. Police took him to Temple and he was placed in critical condition. The third victim, also 36, was shot in a leg. He was taken by private vehicle to Temple and listed in stable condition.
Earlier, just after 5:30, the unidentified man was shot once in the left side of his chest while he was in the 2000 block of Scattergood Street. He was transported by police to Temple and pronounced dead at 5:53. No other details, including a possible motive, were immediately available.
