Man fatally shot at North Philly corner store
The shooting happened at the corner of 27th Street and Montgomery Avenue.

A man was shot to death Monday afternoon at a corner store in North Philadelphia, police said.
The man, described as in his 30s, was shot twice in the chest just after 1:20 p.m. inside Madera Grocery and Deli at Montgomery Avenue and 27th Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
Police said at least one person was in custody and a gun was recovered. The motive may have involved an attempted robbery, police said.
