A 27-year-old Camden woman admitted in Superior Court Thursday to fatally stabbing her twin sister during an altercation in June, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Amanda Ramirez pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter for killing Anna Ramirez on June 22 at the Centennial Village apartment complex, the Prosecutor’s Office said.
Police were called just after 5:30 a.m. to the complex in the 1200 block of East State Street and found Anna Ramirez bleeding and unresponsive. She was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead less than an hour later.
The sisters had been drinking and got into a quarrel, but the Prosecutor’s Office did not elaborate on what the argument was about. Just hours before the stabbing, Anna Ramirez had posted a photo on Facebook with her sister and others, looking relaxed with their arms around each other.
A sentencing hearing for Amanda Ramirez was set for Nov. 15.
