The high temperature Tuesday could break 80 degrees in an early taste of summer.

That’s 13 degrees above average and you should expect to feel it around 4 p.m. The record for the date is 91, set in 1960.

Temps were in the 50s, however, during the morning, but hit the 70s by lunchtime.

Mostly sunny skies during the day will give way to clouds with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Philadelphia.

But fear not. It should be mostly sunny with a slightly above average high of 72 degrees Wednesday, followed by a repeat performance Thursday, according to the weather service.

Friday looks to be gloomy with showers likely and thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. The high will be a comfortable 70 degrees.

If you’re planning for the weekend, it looks like it will be sunny with highs in the mid-60s both days. Enjoy.
