Man, 27, fatally shot in West Philly

A 27-year-old man was fatally wounded in a shooting Monday night in West Philadelphia, police said.

The victim was in the 600 block of South 52nd Street about 8:35 when he was shot several times. Police took him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:12. Police reported no arrests and did not immediately identify the victim. No other details were available.
