Man killed in West Philly shooting

The shooting happened in the 700 block of Dekalb Street.

A 40-year-old man was fatally wounded in a shooting Tuesday evening in West Philadelphia, police said.

Shortly after 6:10 p.m., the man was outside in the 700 block of Dekalb Street when he was shot several times. He was taken by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and pronounced dead at 6:30.

Police did not release the man’s name and reported no arrests.
