Bryce Harper’s first regular-season hit as a Phillie had an exclamation point.

In the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs, Harper took an inside fastball from Braves reliever and former Phillies prospect Jesse Biddle to deep right field.

The drive gave the Phillies an insurance run, pushing their lead to 7-4 and knocking Biddle out of the game. The Phillies went on to beat the Braves, 8-6, to move to 2-0 on the year.

Harper was 0 for 2 going into the at-bat, walking earlier in the game. In another first for Harper, he got a curtain call by the fans.
