The Phillies unveiled mini cooler cups and the internet is ‘obsessed’ — but they won’t be around long
Fans who miss out on the powder blue cooler cups will have a chance later this summer with an All-Star Game-themed version.

With the weather getting warmer and the Phillies securing their first sweep of the season, Citizens Bank Park is once again a go-to destination for a day or night off. And the addition of a new Phillies novelty cup is only adding to the appeal.
While some may credit interim manager Don Mattingly for sparking the Phillies’ sudden winning ways, “Donnie Baseball” wasn’t the only one to make a Phillies debut this week.
The dugout cooler cup was introduced on Tuesday, and it was immediately met by a social media frenzy as fans posted photos of the cup.
Here’s what you need to know about the latest viral ballpark souvenir …
What are the dugout cooler cups?
Kevin Tedesco, of Aramark Sport + Entertainment at Citizens Bank Park, said the cups are designed for instant fan recognition, giving them something they can enjoy in the ballpark and also at home after a game.
The cup comes in powder blue with a maroon lid, handle, and spout, while also featuring the Phillies logo in the same color.
The cup, used for specialty drinks and cocktails, retails for $26.99 for a single and $35.99 for a double.
Other clubs have had similar items at their ballparks, with the San Francisco Giants introducing their cooler cup in March. The Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers also have their own versions, both introduced in early April.
The Phillies beat the Giants, 7-0, on Tuesday, the first night the cups were sold, and are 3-0 at home since the introduction of the cups at the ballpark, after the sweep of the Giants. Maybe it’s not the cups’ doing, but there’s nothing disproving that theory either.
Where can fans find a cooler cup?
The souvenir cups are being sold at five locations around the ballpark.
On the lower-level, the cups are being sold in Section 106 at the Yuengling Flight Bar and Section 127 at the Philly Cocktail Co., as well as Section 130 at the GHOST Bar.
In the upper-levels, the cups can be found in Section 203 at the Philly Cocktail Co. and Section 317 at the Jim Beam Skyline Bar.
Or, if you don’t see yourself getting to a Phillies game anytime soon, some fans have already taken to eBay to resell the cup in the less than five days since its introduction. The resale value is almost triple the cost in the ballpark, starting at $92.99 and going up to $124.99 as part of a bundle pack.
How long will the cups be around?
The cups are a limited-time release that are only available while supplies last. While it’s unclear how much longer they will be in stock given their popularity, Tedesco confirmed an All-Star version of the cooler cups will be available as part of the MLB All-Star Game programming that will take place at Citizens Bank Park from July 10-14.
