Gabe Kapler said this week that he might consider bringing Nick Pivetta up to the big-league club and place him in the bullpen.

The end-of-rotation starter has been with the Phillies’ triple-A team since mid April, when he was demoted after struggling through his last few outings.

Is that the right move for the pitcher? Bob Brookover joins Matt Breen and Scott Lauber after a one-week “hiatus” to talk out the pros and cons of the idea on the latest episode of Extra Innings, our podcast about all things Phillies.

Our coverage team also discusses Bryce Harper’s funk, and his traditionally hot start to the season followed by what could be considered by some fans as a “slump.” Is this par for the course for the superstar? Are there reasons to be concerned?

Breen, Brookover and Lauber explore the differences between the lineups when Harper was hitting and when he wasn’t and talk about what to do with the outfield when Odubel Herrera returns.

And they also discuss the newly promoted Alec Bohm, and when we’ll see last year’s first-round pick in the majors.
