Basketball: Durham commits to Putnam

Choosing the prep-school route, Abington's Anthony Durham, a 6-foot-3 senior combination guard, has committed to play hoops at Putnam Science Academy in Putnam, Ct.

In 28 games last season, Durham. a two-year starter for the Ghosts, averaged 14.5 points.

He received varying degrees of interest from St. Francis (Pa.), The Citadel, Bloomsburg, and Florida International.

Durham played at Academy of the New Church, in Bryn Athyn, before transferring to Abington before his junior year.
