Saturday PIAA Championship Games Postponed

Imhotep Charter and St. Joseph's Prep will have to wait to make their bids for a PIAA state football championship.

Due to a forecact of 4 to 8 inches of snow Saturday in the Harrisburg/Hershey area, the two sccheduled Saturday finals at HersheyPark Stadium have been pushed back a day.

On Sunday, Imhotep will face District 7's South Fayette at 1 p.m, and St. Joe's Prep will take on District 7's Pittsburgh Central Catholic at 6 p.m.

"The decision was reached in order to provide for the safest travel conditions for competing schools and their spectators," the PIAA said in a press release.

Friday's games are still on. In the Class AAA final at 7 p.m., Archbishop Wood will meet District 3's Bighop McDevitt, of Harrisburg.
