Football: EA's Smith commits to Brown
Episcopal Academy's Terrell Smith, a quick-footed defensive back, has committed to play his college football at Brown.
"I love the coaching staff," said the 6-foot-1, 180-pound senior, who visited the school earlier this month. "They were very welcoming when I got there. And I got a chance to hang out with some of the players."
Smith, who missed all but two games last season with a lacerated liver, chose Brown over Penn and Princeton.
In addition to cornerback, the 18-year-old also played wide receiver, returned kicks, and punted for the Churchmen. He has been timed at 4.58 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
For EA, Smith, who is projected to play cornerback at Brown, also plays basketball and competes in track and field. He has an 11.4 clocking in the 100-meter dash.
Smith was injured early in the 2013 campaign, with a player's cleat striking his stomach.
