Basketball: Polykoff takes over at Earlham

Jason Polykoff, who was an assistant coach at Penn, has been named the new head men's coach at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.

"Jason's experience at a number of levels gives us confidence that he is a well-rounded coach and understands what it is going to take to become successful," Earlham athletics director Mike Bergum said in a press release.

"It is exciting to have Jason at the helm. He will be an integral part of the campus community and be valuable in building relationships with students."

Polykoff, 30, was an assistant at Penn under Jerome Allen for the last two seasons.

Before joining the Quakers, the Havertown native compiled a 113-28 record in five seasons at Friends' Central.  He won four straight Pennsylvania Independent Schools state titles from 2009 to 12.

Polykoff played at Friends' Central (Class of 2002) and Haverford College.
