Hoops: Pennsbury's Woods chooses St. Bonaventure

Pennsbury's Derrick Woods, a 6-foot-8, 220-pound senior forward, committed Tuesday to play basketball at St. Bonaventure. He visited the school last weekend.

"I felt a lot of love from the team and the coaching staff," the 18-year-old said. "And I think the Atlantic Ten Conference is one of the best leagues around."

Woods, who helped lead the Falcons to the PIAA District 1 Class AAAA final last season, also took official visits to LIU Brooklyn and Niagara. Binghamton and Fairleigh Dickinson were in the mix as well.
