Softball: Mulderig named Camden Catholic coach

By Phil Anastasia

Jillian Mulderig has been named the new softball coach at Camden Catholic High School.

Mulderig is a former Washington Township High School standout who started for four years as an outfielder at William Paterson College.

She is the founder of Nexxt Level Fastpitch, a youth program that has nearly 200 athletes in teams at various age groups. She also is the former head coach at Camden County College and former assistant coach at Cumberland County College.

"Jillian comes to CCHS with great enthusiasm, energy, and knowledge of the game of softball and the dynamics of leading a championship-caliber group," Camden Catholic athletic director Marlene Grimes said.

Mulderig expressed her excitement at taking over one of South Jersey's most successful softball programs.

"I have coached many teams in the area and am a proud product of Sough Jersey softball," Mulderig said in a statement. "I am so excited to join Camden Catholic and to become a part of the renowned program which cultivates a culture of success and teamwork.  There is so much support, not only from the staff, but from the athletes as well, to build on their championship history."
