He can't Gitmo satisfaction

Barack Obama has a question:

"It's not sustainable," Mr. Obama said at a White House news conference. "The notion that we're going to keep 100 individuals in no man's land in perpetuity," he added, makes no sense. "All of us should reflect on why exactly are we doing this? Why are we doing this?"

Now, NOW he asks this? Obama has been president for four years and three-plus months -- what the hell has he been doing? There is much truth in what he says about other pols "demagoguing" the issue...here's Sen. Mitch McConnell saying that closing Guantanamo would result in prisoners being placed in "American towns and cities"(seriously, Senator, "towns and cities"?...stop lying to the American people!) But like the sign on Harry Truman's desk, the buck really does stop in the Oval Office.

I suspect that the president could click his heels three times, and Gitmo would magically be closed. Does he have the cojones to do that? I doubt it.
