Beautiful You: My fave overnight face masks

Beautiful You shares the best overnight face masks.

I love masks in general, but an overnight mask really gets me excited! Apply to face and neck, avoiding the eye area and brows, after cleansing at bedtime. Rinse it off in the morning.

1. Erno Laszlo Hydra-Therapy Memory Sleep Mask There is something about this mask that feels luxurious and feminine. I have especially dry skin in the winter, so this is an essential step in my skin-care routine twice a week, as recommended.
It delivers lots of hydration, as promised. When I wake up the next morning, my face feels fresh, plump and radiant.
This mask has a gel texture and contains what Laszlo calls "Smart Hydrators," antioxidant/brightening and anti-aging ingredients. It's pink but goes on clear! It feels cooling on the skin; I apply it with my fingers.
I don't gravitate toward scented skin-care products, but this has a very light, lovely rose smell.
$90; available at ErnoLaszlo.com, The Institue-Erno Laszlo, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus.

2. La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Sleep Mask This luxurious, cooling overnight mask also works as a night cream. It comes with a small application brush and melts into the skin like a moisturizer.
The day after using this, my skin looks so radiant and firm.
A little goes a long way here. I use this mask once a week when my skin needs a pick-me-up (although it can be used up to three times weekly). I like to apply a little extra on dry areas, such as my jaw line and chin.
It contains caviar extracts to nourish and boost the skin's long-term firmness. It claims to fill wrinkles, hydrate and refine skin. Try it on nights before special occasions; you can count on it to deliver great results.
The floral scent of this mask is a little stronger than I prefer, but that is a personal preference.$300; available at laprairie.com, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale's.
